 Mosquito Trap
use to safely battle mosquitoes that may transmit West Nile Virus

As West Nile Virus (WNV) has made it's way across the US, aviculturists have become increasingly concerned about protecting their birds from the mosquitoes that transmit this disease. Mosquitoes also are instrumental in transmitting avian pox and canary pox. Deterring mosquitoes is also important for human health.

The Oakstump Mosquito trap uses a naturally based mosquito pheromone to draw and trap mosquitoes before they can bite. This pheromone lure is the biochemical that the insects use to mark their breeding sites. By locating the trap across the yard from your birds, you will be able to attract and trap the egg laden mosquitos away from your birds. The patented design of this trap safely and effectively kills mosquitoes without the use of harsh, dangerous chemicals.  Once inside the trap, the mosquitoes are unable to find an exit and will tire and drown.  The reusable 1/2 gallon traps are about the size of a coffee can.  Use 2-4 traps per average yard or 4-16 traps per acre (depending on the wetness and infestation of the area)

additional lure is available separately.
